Genus unveils Hi-FLO hybrid solar inverter, expanding presence in distributed energy market

Genus Innovation has announced the launch of its new Hi-FLO Hybrid Solar Inverter, strengthening the company’s position in India’s rapidly expanding distributed energy and rooftop solar market. The product was unveiled at the Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 amid growing momentum in residential and commercial solar adoption across the country.

The launch comes at a time when India’s renewable energy landscape is witnessing accelerated growth, driven by government incentives, rising electricity costs, and increasing demand for energy reliability. Hybrid energy systems that integrate solar power, battery storage and grid connectivity are becoming increasingly important for homes and businesses seeking uninterrupted and efficient energy solutions.

Speaking on the launch, Yash Todi said the Indian energy sector is entering a phase where intelligent energy management and storage will play a defining role in value creation.

“Hybrid systems are no longer optional; they are becoming central to how homes and businesses consume power,” he stated, adding that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a key market due to rising rooftop solar adoption and supportive policy initiatives.

According to the company, the Hi-FLO Hybrid Solar Inverter has been designed to deliver seamless and uninterrupted power through advanced energy management capabilities. The system supports intelligent solar optimisation, enabling users to maximise solar consumption while reducing dependence on conventional grid electricity.

The inverter features UPS-level switching of under 10 milliseconds, advanced load prioritisation, and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring. It also offers scalable parallel connectivity, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications. With an advanced MPPT efficiency of over 99.9%, the solution is engineered to enhance solar utilisation and maintain consistent performance under varying conditions.

Genus Innovation stated that the product aligns with the Government of India’s PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which aims to accelerate rooftop solar adoption nationwide.

Alongside the inverter launch, the company also introduced a new Battery Management System (BMS) focused on improving storage efficiency, operational safety and battery lifecycle performance. The addition further strengthens Genus Innovation’s integrated energy ecosystem strategy centred on storage, smart energy management and distributed power systems.

The company said its participation at the Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo reflects its broader commitment to developing scalable, technology-driven renewable energy solutions tailored for India’s evolving power sector.
