The company’s total income stood at ₹521 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 136% increase from ₹219 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of FY26. EBITDA increased 25% year-on-year to ₹62 crore, compared with ₹50 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit After Tax stood at ₹26 crore, up 3% from ₹25 crore a year earlier, while cash profit increased 10% to ₹39 crore. Basic EPS rose to ₹3.85 from ₹3.81 in Q1 FY26.

KP Energy’s total renewable energy portfolio has reached 3.73 GW, comprising 1.57 GW of installed capacity and 2.16 GW of projects currently in hand. The company’s Independent Power Producer portfolio stands at 250.5 MW, including 48.5 MW that is operational. Its Operations & Maintenance portfolio, managed through wholly owned subsidiary KP Energy OMS Limited, covers 646 MW.

Commenting on the results, Dr Faruk G Patel, CMD of KP Group, said the company’s Q1 performance reflected its execution capabilities as India’s wind energy sector enters a significant growth phase.

India currently has around 56 GW of installed wind capacity and has set a target of reaching 100 GW by 2030. With the country’s estimated wind energy potential exceeding 1,164 GW, KP Energy expects significant opportunities across the wind value chain.

The company operates an end-to-end renewable energy model covering site identification, engineering, procurement and construction, power evacuation and operations and maintenance. This positioning is expected to support its participation in both onshore and emerging offshore wind opportunities, particularly in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

KP Energy has also strengthened its technology capabilities, becoming the first company in India to install a ‘Make in India’ 4.2 MW wind turbine in South Gujarat. Installation of a 5.3 MW turbine is currently underway, highlighting the company’s readiness for higher-capacity next-generation wind turbines.

The company also holds a CERC inter-state electricity trading licence, providing it with access to power markets across India. Its long-term credit facilities carry a CARE A- rating with a Stable Outlook.

Operationally, electricity generation from KP Energy’s IPP portfolio increased during the quarter, with units generated rising to 3.15 crore kWh in Q1 FY27 from 2.65 crore kWh in Q1 FY26.
