The 54th edition of Gastech 2026 will take place in Bangkok from September 14–17, 2026, bringing together global energy leaders, policymakers, investors and technology providers at a time of growing geopolitical uncertainty and surging energy demand across Asia.
Positioned in one of the world’s fastest-growing energy consumption regions, the event will focus on strengthening supply security, accelerating infrastructure deployment and building resilient energy systems capable of supporting rapid urbanisation, industrialisation and electrification. Organisers said the conference will serve as a critical platform for collaboration and investment as countries across Asia work to balance affordability, reliability and sustainability in their energy transition strategies.
Recognised as one of the world’s largest exhibitions and conferences for natural gas, LNG, low-carbon technologies, electrification and AI-driven energy solutions, Gastech 2026 will be held under the theme “Where Global Energy Demand Meets Supply.” The event aims to align governments, industry stakeholders and investors around the technologies and capital required to meet immediate energy needs while enabling long-term low-carbon growth.
Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, said the global energy sector is navigating one of its most challenging periods in recent history, marked by supply disruptions, rising demand and increasing pressure on infrastructure resilience. He noted that Gastech 2026 has been designed to facilitate practical solutions, investment opportunities and strategic coordination needed to secure energy supply and support large-scale infrastructure delivery.
The event’s Strategic Conference will feature ministers, CEOs, investors and industry experts discussing key challenges facing global energy markets. Sessions will examine topics including LNG supply expansion, power market transformation, low-carbon technology deployment and integrated grid development to support rising electricity demand.
More than 1,000 speakers are expected to participate in over 200 conference sessions, focusing on practical implementation strategies for infrastructure development, market resilience and investment across increasingly interconnected energy systems.
Alongside the conference, the exhibition segment will showcase emerging technologies, partnerships and commercial solutions across the global energy value chain. Organisers expect participation from more than 1,000 exhibiting companies and over 50,000 energy professionals representing more than 150 countries.
A major addition to the 2026 edition will be the launch of AixEnergy, a new co-located conference and exhibition focused on the convergence of artificial intelligence, electrification and next-generation energy systems. The platform will address the growing electricity demand linked to expanding AI infrastructure and data-driven industries, bringing together technology leaders, energy executives and investors to discuss future-ready power systems and digital infrastructure strategies.
Gastech 2026 will be hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Energy with support from consortium partners EGAT, Gulf and PTT, along with consortium supporters Ratch, EGCO and the Energy Regulatory Commission. The event is also being organised in partnership with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
The conference follows the success of Gastech Milan 2025, which attracted more than 50,000 attendees and reportedly facilitated over US$60 billion in commercial agreements and investment activity. Organisers say the Bangkok edition is expected to further strengthen Gastech’s role as a key global platform for energy investment, collaboration and strategic decision-making.
