Sharika Enterprises Limited has secured a key subcontract for the deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) under Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited’s flagship Ganga Corridor power distribution modernisation project. The initiative is being executed under the Government of India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) through East India Udyog Limited (EIUL), the lead contractor for the project.
The project will cover the major urban centres of Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh, with the objective of modernising the region’s power distribution infrastructure through the implementation of an integrated SCADA-ADMS platform. The platform will combine Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS) and Outage Management System (OMS) functionalities to enable intelligent and automated grid operations.
The award marks Sharika Enterprises’ strategic entry into India’s rapidly growing SCADA-ADMS market, a key segment driving the digital transformation of the country’s electricity distribution sector. Through advanced grid automation and intelligent network management technologies, the company aims to support the development of a smarter, more resilient and highly responsive power distribution ecosystem.
The integrated solution is expected to provide utilities with real-time network visibility, advanced monitoring and control capabilities, faster fault detection and restoration, improved outage management and enhanced operational efficiency. The deployment is also expected to strengthen grid reliability, improve power quality, optimise asset utilisation and support data-driven decision-making for utility operators.
With Indian utilities increasingly investing in smart grids and digital infrastructure, SCADA-ADMS platforms are emerging as critical components of next-generation power distribution networks, enabling improved efficiency, reliability and customer service standards.
Commenting on the development, Sanjay Verma, CEO of Sharika Enterprises Limited, said, “This project represents a significant milestone for Sharika as we formally enter the SCADA-ADMS segment, one of the fastest-growing areas in India’s power sector modernisation journey. The award reflects our growing capabilities in grid automation, digital utility solutions and smart infrastructure. We are committed to supporting utilities in building intelligent, resilient and future-ready distribution networks that align with India’s energy transition and digital transformation goals.”
The company also acknowledged the support and confidence extended by East India Udyog Limited and Spin Engenharia, Sharika’s technology partner in developing its indigenous ADMS platform under the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Sharika Enterprises has been expanding its footprint across utility automation, smart grids, communication networks, substation modernisation, renewable energy integration and advanced distribution technologies, strengthening its position as a key participant in India’s evolving energy infrastructure landscape.
