Raman Bhatia appointed Head of SCO Working Group on Energy & Green Economy

Servotech Renewable Power System has announced that its Managing Director, Raman Bhatia, has been appointed as the Head of the Working Group on “Energy & Green Economy” under the Business Council Secretariat (India) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The appointment places Bhatia in a leadership role across a consortium of 28 countries within the SCO framework, one of the world’s most influential intergovernmental bodies focused on regional cooperation in areas including energy transition, sustainability, and economic development.

In his new role, Bhatia will collaborate with international policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders to strengthen cross-border partnerships, promote knowledge exchange, and support the development of scalable clean energy solutions across member nations.

The development underscores Servotech’s growing global footprint in renewable energy and electric vehicle infrastructure. The company has been actively contributing to advancements in EV charging solutions, solar energy systems and power electronics, positioning itself as a key player in India’s clean energy ecosystem.

Speaking on the appointment, Bhatia said he was honoured to take on the responsibility at a time when global cooperation is essential to accelerate the energy transition. He highlighted the SCO platform as a unique opportunity to drive innovation and foster partnerships across countries, adding that he looks forward to contributing to the creation of sustainable and interconnected energy ecosystems.
